Manufacturers
Series Expands for the 2017 Season |
The
Manufacturers Series consisting of Super
Chevy Show, Fun Ford, and Mega Mopar series events
will expand its geographic footprint in 2017 by hosting
events at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Phoenix, and
Thunder Valley Raceway Park serving the Oklahoma City market.
At total of 29 event dates are already secured for the season
that begins in April. Many of the tracks hosting events
have been a part of the series since it was established
at the start of the 2010 season. The eighth consecutive
season for the Manufacturers Series will focus on popular
car shows, drag racing, swap meet, and car corral activities
for participants and fans alike.
An average of 1,000 participants per show
compete at Manufacturers Series events for awards and
prizes. To many participants the prestige of winning their
class in a car show or bracket race is the most rewarding.
For others it is about having the best restored show car
or racing exhibition vehicle that gets aired on the Menards
Chevy Series TV show.
Lex Dudas, President of the Manufacturers
Series, is optimistic about the 2017 season for series
participants, fans, and sponsors. “The Manufacturers
Series has a very positive direction for 2017. Our major
sponsors including Duracell, RockAuto, Original Parts
Group, and LMC Truck are all returning and we have new
sponsors coming on board that will be announced soon.
Many companies want to be involved with the Manufacturers
Series events and Menards Chevy Series TV Show because
they receive impressions to thousands of participants
and fans on-site, and then reach millions of viewers through
the TV Show.
The Menards Chevy Series TV show airs
Saturday mornings on the Velocity channel in the fourth
quarter of each year at 9:30am EST. An audience of more
than 2 million viewers watched the recent 2016 episodes,
with Nielsen ratings trending on a year-over-year increase
from the previous season.
