Wrap-Up: NETO's Final Four Races of 2016
The Northeast Timing Organization (NETO) closed out another successful season of nostalgia drag racing with its final four events of 2016.

Saturday September 24 at Lebanon Valley Dragway

On a crisp clear early autumn day, forty seven racers competed in the race sponsored by T&E Racing of Clinton Corners, NY. This was day one of the eighth annual Dover Drag Strip Nostalgia Drags. Erin and Tom Dewhirst presented the trophies.

Comp Eliminator
Comp eliminator was won by Jerry Deslandes in his sleek orange Duster. Jerry ran 8.82 on a 8.80 index for the win. Here is Jerry receiving the trophy.

Comp runner up was Chris Kraft in his swift 55 Chevy. Chris ran 8.61 on a 8.60 index. Here is Chris with crew chief Ben, Kathy, and wife Amy receiving the trophy.

Nostalgia Eliminator
Nostalgia eliminator was won by Frank Paradiso Jr in his beautiful, street driven 1968 Chevelle. Frank ran a 11.894 on a 11.84 dial for the win. Here is Frank with friends Frank and Lou receivng the trophy.

Runner up went to Lou Centolanza in his beautiful F/SA Barracuda. Lou ran a 10.878 on a 10.87 dial. Here is Lou and Lou jr receiving the trophy.

Sunday September 25 at Lebanon Valley Dragway

Forty two racers competed on this clear crisp day in the race sponsored by Putnam Radiator of Mahopac NY. This was day two of the eighth annual Dover Drag Strip Nostalgia Drags. Kitty Giambertone presented the trophies.

Comp Eliminator
Comp eliminator was won by Tony Supino in his sleek BBC powered 63 Nova. Tony ran 8.749 on a 8.10 dial to take the win. Here is Tony with Danny, Jim, Anthony jr, granddaughter Aria and crew Bruce receiving the trophy.

Mark Finkle was runner up in “Badger” 67 alcohol injected Camaro. Mark turned on the red light in losing, running against a 9.50 index. Here is Mark and daughter Eliza receiving the trophy.

Nostalgia Eliminator
Nostalgia eliminator was won by Steve Consentino in his “Yankee Clipper” 1962 Dodge wagon. Steve ran a10.508 on a 10.47 dial to take the win. Here is Steve with friend Steve receiving the trophy.

Frank Paradiso jr came close to sweeping the weekend races as he was runner up on Sunday. Frank ran a break out 11.796 on a 11.84 dial. Here is Frank receiving the trophy with friends Lou Laferrara sr, Frank and Lou jr.

Saturday October 15 at Lebanon Valley Dragway

Thirty eight racers competed on this cool crisp day in the John Parks Memorial Race sponsored by Overbaugh Construction of Norton Hills, NY. Erin and Tom Dewhirst presented the trophies.

Comp Eliminator
Comp Eliminator was won by Mark Finkle in the injected 1968 Camaro “badger”. Mark ran a 9.53 on a 9.50 index to take the win. Here is Mark and daughter Liza receiving the trophy.

Runner up was Brian English in his BBC powered 1969 Camaro. Brian ran a 8.52 on a 8.50 index to come in second. Here is Brian with wife Carmela, son Brian jr and crew receiving the trophy.

Nostalgia Eliminator
Nostalgia eliminator was won by Rich Mauceri in his J & B Performance built SBC 1967 Chevy II. Rich survived five rounds running a 10.08 on a 10.00 dial to take the victory. Here is Rich receiving the trophy.

Runner up was Gerry Ingersoll in his BBF FE motored 1967 Comet. Gerry ran a 10.41 on a 10.32 dial. Here is Gerry receiving the trophy.

NETO Fall Finals, Sunday Oct. 16 at Lebanon Valley Dragway

The race sponsored by E. S. Classic Cars of South Hackensack NJ, brought to a close another successful season. Kitty Giambertone presented the Comp Eliminator trophies, Jerry Deslandes presented the Nostalgia eliminator trophies.

Comp Eliminator
Comp eliminator was won by Jerry Deslandes in his Indy motored big block Mopar powered 1970 Duster. Jerry ran a 8.90 on a 8.90 index to win. Here is Jerry and brother Phil receiving the trophy. Father Jerry blessed the ceremony.

Brian Vradenburg was runner up in his SBC powered 63 Nova. Brian ran a break out 9.68 on a 9.70 index. Here is Brian receiving the trophy with Jeanie, Andrew and Scott.

Nostalgia Eliminator
Nostalgia eliminator was won by Jody Kenly in his big block 1970 Challenger. Jody fought through five rounds to run a 10.13 on a 10.12 dial for the win. Here is Jody and sons Tim and Shawn receiving the trophy.

Christian Huebner was runner up in his 1962 “grocery getter” Falcon wagon. Christian ran a 11.39 on a 11.20 dial, but his red light start ended his chance for a win.
