Palm
Beach International Raceway recently hosted the
Super Chevy Show on Saturday, March 28th and Sunday, March
29th. Saturday started out with overcast skies and temperatures
in the 60s. Time runs began promptly at the scheduled
10 am start time. Opening ceremonies and eliminations
ran smoothly most of the day until a brief oil down at
the top end of the track halted progress in the early
evening. Racing was complete just before 10 pm..
Competitors
on Sunday were greeted with cloudless skies, bright sunshine,
and cool temperatures. The first time runs of the day
started at 9:30 am. After the opening ceremonies concluded,
bracket eliminations began right around noon. Racing went
very smoothly until an oil down in the right lane at the
top end halted the action. The downtime pushed back racing
around 40 minutes. Once racing resumed it continued all
the way until the completion of the event.
