AZ - Tucson Dragway presents its Inaugural Southwest
Showdown Thursday – Sunday, February 16th – 19th,
2017. Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday are for parking. Wednesday and Thursday
also include registration and tech. Thursday also includes
a $50 test & tune and a $20 Run For The Money.
Friday’s
schedule includes a $2,500 Super Pro Warm-Up Race and a
$1,500 Pro Warm-Up Race.
The
big days are Saturday and Sunday. Saturday features a $5K
Super Pro and a $3K Pro. Super Pro pays
$5,000 Win, $2,000 Runner-Up, $600 Semis, $400
Quarters and $200 Eighths. Saturday’s single day Super
Pro entry is $165, or buy the Saturday/Sunday Special for
$305. Buybacks are $80. Pro pays $3,000 Win, $1,000
Runner-Up, $500 Semis, $250 Quarters and $125 Eighths.
Saturday’s single day Pro entry is $125, or buy the
Saturday/Sunday Special for $205. Buybacks are $60.
Saturday
night will include two (2) 1/8 Mile Shootouts:
a Super Pro-96 Shootout that pays $22,500 Win, $4,000 Runner-Up,
$1,000 Semis, $650 Quarters and $350 Eighths, and a Pro-64
Shootout that pays $10,000 Win, $2,000 Runner-Up, $500 Semis,
$250 Quarters and $125 Eighths.
Sunday
features a $10K Super Pro and a $4.5K Pro. Super Pro pays
$10,000 Win, $2,000 Runner-Up, $600 Semis, $400
Quarters and $200 Eighths. Sunday’s single day Super
Pro entry is $195. Buybacks are $80. Pro pays $4,500
Win, $1,000 Runner-Up, $500 Semis, $250 Quarters
and $125 Eighths. Sunday’s single day Pro entry is
$155. Buybacks are $60.
Races
are all-run (no E.T. breaks). Door cars will be separate
from dragsters until the ladder round.
Gates
open Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:00 am. Gates open Thursday
at 7:00 am with the test & tune at 9:00 am. Gates open
Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 am.
