 Maryland
International Raceway has announced its 2015 schedule.
The 2015 MIR schedule will consist of 104 race days with the
season opener on March 7-8. Signature special events in 2015
will include: Performance Swap Meets, Door Wars, Mickey Thompson
Tires IDBL motorcycle events, NMRA Ford Nationals, Mountain
Motor Nationals, Custom T’s Grudge events, War on Wheels
events, IREV Import events, IHRA Nitro Jam President's Cup
Nationals, Truck Mania, PDRA, Jet Wars, Legends at Budds Creek,
Snap-On Tools Superchargers Showdown, Ford Fever Classic,
Mopar Eastern Classic, and the Haltech World Cup Finals –
Import vs Domestic event. The
Speed Unlimited Midnight Madness Series and the Speed Unlimited
E.T. Series promise to continue delivering fun and friendly
competition for you and your family to enjoy. Also be sure
to make Budds Creek your destination when you need to Test
& Tune your car or bike on select Sundays and Friday
nights.
MIR
has some great big buck bracket races. There will be a $5k
race each day at the Mountain Motor Nationals on May 8-9,
and another $5k race each day at the Snap-On Tools Superchargers
Showdown on Sept 25-26. There'll be a Triple Header with
three $5k to win races on June 13-14. There will also be
a $10k for Top E.T. and a $2k for Mod E.T. at the 10k-2k
Poker Bash on August 29-30. The Raider E.T. Challenge will
also feature a Top E.T. $5k and a Mod E.T. $2k on September
12-13 and October 24-25.
The
Mickey Thompson Tires International Drag Bike League (IDBL)
is the new name of the former MIROCK Superbikes Series.
Budds Creek will once again host the famous Spring Nationals
on April 24-25, Summer Nationals on May 29-31, Bike Fest
on July 24-26, and Fall Nationals on October 2-4. These
are the largest participant events on our schedule, each
drawing between 700-800 motorcycle racers. IDBL features
1/4 mile 5-second, 240mph Top Fuel motorcycles and 6-second,
220mph Orient Express Pro Street bikes along with hundreds
of sportsman motorcycle racers.
The
first special event of the season will be the 7th annual
Door Wars on April 17-19. This event has grown every year
and is quickly becoming MIR's signature Outlaw event. It
features the Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod Association. The Outlaw
10.5 series is back along with Outlaw Drag Radial and X275
on the 1/8 mile as they hang the wheels to the finish line.
The “Pros vs Joes” $5,000 Top Sportsman class
is also back on the 1/8 mile and the pits will be packed
with nearly 100 of the baddest Top Sportsman cars you have
ever seen.
The
Mountain Motor Nationals on May 8-9 and the Snap-On Tools
Superchargers Showdown on September 25-26 have been dubbed
the "Pomonas" of MDIR. Both will continue to be
Friday and Saturday events with $5k to win in Top E.T. each
day. These events will feature the Northeast Outlaw Pro
Mod Association as they run the full 1/4 mile. With spring
and fall temperatures coupled with the famous MDIR prepped
1/4 mile, the records won’t stand a chance.
The
IHRA Nitro Jam President's Cup Nationals on June 19-21 just
got even more exciting. The wild, nitrous-injected, supercharged
and turbocharged Pro Mods are now back at IHRA and will
be running the full 1/4 mile! Race fans will also witness
Nostalgia Nitro Funny Cars, Top Fuel Harleys, Jet Cars and
the MDIR fan favorite Mountain Motor Pro Stocks on the 1/4
mile. The event will also include hundreds of sportsman

Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) will make its
first appearance at MDIR this year on July 17-18, and will
feature three Pro Mod classes, Pro Stock, Pro Extreme Motorcycle,
Top Sportsman and Top Dragster. PDRA is home of the fastest
1/8 mile doorslammers on the planet - so be sure not to
miss all the action.
